"We stayed 3 nights, were happy with the hotel and were charged what we expected. It was a little far out from the centre. A better map detailing the distances and time between key tourist attractions would have helped to identify where we would have preferred to stay. Apart from that we were content with the service and hotel.

 Yes, I am satisfied with both the hotels. I give East China a 8 out of 10 for   location and room.
I thought Mayfair was a 4 star hotel so I was expecting a little more from it. But the room is a little small and does not have a mini fridge. Other than that, the room is nice and in a nice location, near the Zhong Shan Park and shopping centres and restaurants. For a 4 star hotel, I'll give it a 6.5 out of 10.
I most definitely will consider staying there again.
